10:20 😱🤯
el negrito sapeeeee
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Dude was a contest showman I think that’s pretty cool or it helps he could throw down those full cab flips and bs big flips down pretty much anything imaginable
He's a fuckin legend! Best style
Kevin Bradley before Kevin Bradley...just off appearance
I still don't understand how he catch that cabflip at 16:30
I was actually there at Beverly Hills High School for his first line and was tripping out because at that time, I’m pretty sure it was the very first Kickflip Back Tail done on a decent sized rail. Dude is such a nice and humble human being... Bastien rips. Also witnessed Appleyard on a different day Nollie Heelflip Noseslide it first try.... Early 2000’s was definitely the era when skateboarding difficulty was raising the bar, paving the way for today’s generation. Kind of like how it’s always been, but to a heavier aspect...
15:34 what a way to end that run omg, amazing
that half this stuff didn't come out when it should have seems almost criminal
Bastien is the best ever
Merci Bastien !
back when he swore
loved that part
Put him in the hall of fame of skateboarding. Dudes a legend. His style, flip tricks, tech, ledges, switch, rails. This man did it all. Thank you bastien and thrasher for blessing us with this footage
He’s puts in Soo much work. You can tell he has a higher focused energy. Shiii is past 9000
im thinking most of this is from really sorry filming? i had them both on a double dvd when i was a kid, second skate video i ever got and definitely my favorite. i knew those parts like my abc's. sorry was for sure my favorite of the two though. it seemed more fresh and exciting, like they ventured out with that video and made a masterpiece by the pure passion and perfectionism that goes into doing something new, plus johnny rotten introducing each part with utter dis espect. so awesome man. rowley was sick and slamming on his face for a gnarsblunt. but you could totally tell how much bastien had grown between sorry and really sorry. As i recall Johnny pointed out- only 15, originally from the congo, but now hes making his home in france. or something. and my pancakes are fat mutton chops with butter brains and better beers for bears with bare homeostasis appointments in the doctors rails dear faillahs.
THE REAL STYLE IS HERE !!!
Why does skating look better back then it does now!!!
Honestly, This Era of Skating was the Most Enjoyable..
i dont get it why they filmed everything with the fisheye back then.. it doesnt really project the real scale of the spots.. every handrail looks kind of the same, even taken from the same exact spot everytime
This was the peak of skateboarding. Been edging gayer and gayer ever since.
Bastien is not of this world. I am a die hard fan fo' sho'
2021 still impressive who's agree?
I dunno about anyone else, but this era of videos will always make me feel something that today’s video parts can’t.
This kid is so much more humble and funny than I thought he was.
top
greatest Era of Skateboarding!!!!
I grew up watching this on VHS. These days were the golden days of skating.
warrior...
The whole flip roster where a bunch of killers back then
The Jimi Hendrix of skateboarding. So ahead of his time.
Bastien was way ahead of his time even though skateboarding had progressed immensely all his trick would still be considered as bangers in a street part now 🤯🤯🤯
Seeing him skate in person during his prime was something to behold.
He seems like a cool kid. I probably would have hung out with him. Not super serious.
May I add how ironic scrolling through comments how everyone says the same thing over and over again. Just interesting. Dudes ahead of his time. I find it fascinating how everyone thinks alike and also how cliche we all can be. It is a fact though. He was ahead of his time n Still ripping. Bachnaka supreme
if u dont love bastien i dont love u
that dude is gnarly
FUCK YEAH AND REPEAT
One of the best skaters ever.
this footage is golden. Love how he deals with his mental battles during tries by being practically a very good comedian. Bastien is a personality and this footage vibrates it , its full of soul , its packed.
I remember when he was a young blood teenager during Fise Competition at Palavas (almost 20 years ago). The practice began and Bastien wasn't here, he was late due to a late party. The final started and he arrived and warmed up a little bit with few flat ground tricks between other riders. Then he did his 1st run, a perfect one with not a single mistake and of course he won the contest. He had this youth arrogant side at the beginning who changed a lot after some years and being under Tom Penny and Geof Rowley's wings. A true french and international legend, one of my all time favorite rider.
This is dream footage. Big flip master.
ídolo!
Epic. Just epic.
Holy Jesus!
Mr Cab flip
Holy shit. So sick. Anyone wanna chip in to get some good portable batteries to replace all the generators buzzing away in the background in skate videos. Maybe its just me...
I love bastien.. The pur best french talent
Big flips Bs flips Switch heels Fakie full cab flips Switch tre's Kicklip ft boards Kicklip back lips Kicklip to fakie on ramps Fakie flips And an accient What a bag of tricks
Este vato podría ser el papá biológico de nyjah!! Jajaajaj
From a man who struggles to stand on a board....amazing. Kids the real deal. None of this bailing and Nyjah crying b/s just gets up and skates. Pure passion and youre fucking good. Keep skating
3:10 is my favourite line ever
10:52 flawless
What a G
I was a teen when he came on the scene and I was super stoked on his skating. I think I had one of his boards too. Then he disappeared and I always told myself he was out there, searching for his lost fingerprints.
One of the most naturally talented skateboarders on the planet.
I agree
When I was skateboarding with my friend over 15 years ago and we said "You did a Salabanzi replaque" it was to say that we had landed / returned / succeeded in a skate trick with style, legs flexed perfectly absorbing the impact of the board with the ground ...
Still think Flip did him dirty. They for sure lost control of the team when trying to transition from their first lineup
back in the days we were young))
So many of these tricks are engrained in my memory from watching Sorry over and over again as a teenager! So amazing to see new footage!
I remember watching Sorry for the first time on VHS when I was a little kid. When Bastien's part came on, it honestly freaked me out. I didn't know anyone could possibly be so good and have such power in their skating. I almost couldn't watch his part all at once, I kept rewinding tricks (Did he just varial heelflip out of that nose manual?) it was too much to take in
He put in 500% confidence in every try he makes, feels inspired somehow. Just keep doing what you doing out there guys!
Damn !!!
Huge ! Bastien was so far ahead of his time
why does the cameraman put his hand in front of the lens ?
Nice, maybe some lost Tom, or Ali footage as well?
props also for his english, not so common among the french
This is the best rough cut ive ever seen
grin from ear to ear watching this...
beast mode
12:29 MASTERPIECE.
fucking amasing
That line after the warm up in Asia 👀
I have been robbed! Never knew Bastien when he was laying this down. Fuck yeah, Bastion.
Dude was definitely ahead of his time
4:06 Is that Evan Hernandez in the background?
Why someone dislike a video like this?
one of the best ever
Bastien Salabanzi is now my favorite skater
It’s a real shame he should’ve been a star in the same vein as prod or koston
Crazy good!
This dude is hella on his shit.
GOAT
he was a whole era ahead of his time with the technical insanity he was pulling off at that time.
this dude nollie back lipped so good the audio de-synced
Insane ... The best french skater ever ! THE pop and landing OMFG !
So much San Francisco in the early 2000s I love it!!!!
I could watch hrs of Salabanzi shreddin. Wot a sick stylish skate style
Bastien skates so fast that for years I thought his “Sorry.” part was sped up to match the song. Nah. Dude’s just that gnarly.
how did he catch that board at 16:29 ?
18:18 most stomped trick in history??
I remember seeing him in a transworld magazine think it was a 1998 issue it was when way in the back of the magazine they would have a check out section he was young think he was 12 maybe younger at the time but even then the picture of him he was doing a kick flip backlip.
People should watch the Bastien salabanzni "lost part". Basically Flip black balled him. They basically said they lost his footage for 10+ years. It came out a few years ago. If that footage came out back then, Bastien would've been the undisputed greatest of all time. Flip robbed Bastien. I've attached the link to the lost part below. Watch that and tell me what would've happened if bastien released this 15+ years ago when it was filmed. m.idworlds.info?sp=mAEA&search_query=bastien+salabanzni+lost+part
Best sw heels and cab flips in the game. I bet everyone has somewhere a poster of one of these tricks. There were so many photos of these particular tricks printed around the world. Guy is insane
Yea lil shit phahahah that came out of nowhere
Tom Penny’s “Love child” .... Dudes aFUKINGmazing!
that bs flap at @11:11 was fucked
